Recent breakthroughs have allowed new insights into the pathophysiology of sepsis. However, there is a constant need not only to keep abreast of and develop new scientific approaches but also to identify adequate and effective clinical strategies for the treatment of systemic inflammatory syndromes.

The aim of the symposium "Sepsis- A translational approach" is to build an ambitious and unique program focused on basic science and clinical research, where state of the art views of the recent advances in inflammation and sepsis would be fostered. During this one day symposium, we will bring together scientific and clinical leaders from all over the world, in order to lead interactive debates. The congress will take place in the modern Max-Planck-Institute of Molecular Biomedicine.
